Caramel Cookies - Quick, Easy Biscuit Recipe

Caramel Cookies -
No photo for this. They disappear as soon as they come out of the oven !
Crumbs are all that is ever left - quick to make if you want something fast.
No metrics again - very old favourite recipe. 
Quick way to convert  1 Tablespoon equals 1 ounce - that doesn't mean a huge, gigantic heaped up tablespoon !


Ingredients: 
4 oz Butter (or margarine if you must !)    
4 oz sugar
1 Tablespoon golden syrup
1 Tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 ozs Self raising Flour


How to: 
  • Put butter, sugar, golden syrup, milk and vanilla into a saucepan
  • Boil gently for five minutes. 
  • Cool
  • Add Flour 
  • Roll into balls
  • Flatten with a fork 
  • Bake - moderate oven  275 degrees C   10 12 minutes
