Chocolate Fridge Slice

Chocolate Fridge Slice - superbly delicious and decadent slice - try instead of Christmas pudding.


  • 30 grams almonds chopped up roughly
  • 30 grams pumpkin seeds
  • 150 grams of dried fruit like raisins, apricots, berries
  • 50 mls of brandy or fruit juice
  • 180 grams of dark organic chocolate (Trade Aid chokkie is fabulous if you can manage to save it before you demolish the entire block )
  • 50 grams of unsalted butter ( or substitute)
  • 75 grams of broken up digestive biscuits


Add fruits and brandy in bowl to absorb brandy. Line a cake tin with cling film and let this overhang. Melt choc/butter over low heat. Drain dried fruit and tip into bowl and add pumpkin seeds, chocolate mix and stir well. Pour into dish and put in fridge overnite. Serve in slices as is or with sour cream or yogurt.
